Pentecost 10 – July 29th
We hear that great story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 people who came to hear him speak. The great miracle could be summarized as an invitation to share in the abundance of God’s creation. And the crowd share so well there was a massive amount left over.
We know there is still great hunger in our world and even in our own country an estimated 1 in 6 children are undernourished today. If this is the plight of the world’s richest nation, we know it must be worse in most other countries.
How do we do a better job of sharing our God given resources? It starts with knowing that God calls each of us in and feeds us spiritually. When we are fully connected to the source of life we are ready to be agents of God’s Kingdom in this world.
