I was born in Van Nuys, California and subsequently raised in Chicago. I am married with three grown children and two grandchildren. I spent 15 years in the retail furniture business in Long Grove. Having felt the call to ministry, I enrolled in the Bishop Anderson Chaplaincy Program and in addition, took the Clinical Pastoral course at the Alexian Brothers Hospital.
Upon completion of these two programs, I spent 3 years attending deacon school through the Chicago Diocese. In 2003, I completed my studies and was ordained by the then Bishop Persell. Since that time, I have been on staff at St Michael’s Episcopal Church in Barrington until my retirement in 2011. As luck would have it, I was called back into service at St Michaels after a foreshortened retirement. In the last several years, I have also begun assisting at St Mark’s Episcopal Church on an as needed basis. All in all, I have worked as a pastoral care coordinator serving the needy since 1992.
