Welcome Guests - If this is your first Sunday here at St. Mark’s, may you find a gracious welcome. Your questions are welcome. Please note that there is music at the 10:15 am service only. Even if you might be here just for this day, may St. Mark’s feel like home.

Today at St. Mark’s:
- Please join the interim rector, Mary Tudela, for “Coffee and Conversation” in the Anniversary Room following both services.

- Reminder: Church School is in recess this morning. Classes resume June 1.

- The Parish office and Day School will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. Both will reopen on Tuesday, May 27, at 9:00 am.

- The altar flowers are given by Patricia Abboud to the glory of God and in thanksgiving for her wonderful husband and family.

Childcare is offered every Sunday morning in the nursery from 7:45 until 11:30 a.m. The nursery is located in the last classroom on the left of the hallway in the education building.

We offer prayers for those celebrating their birthday this week: Susan Dilsaver, Mauri Resseguie, Robert Abboud, Steven Schmidt, Beth Bransky, Dana Nelsen, Lois Lee, Jane Davis, and Andrew Melone; and those celebrating the anniversary of their marriage: Elizabeth & Rick Cavenaugh, Mary & Steve Etherington, and Neelie & Neils Kruse.

Consider becoming a Lector, Eucharist Minister and/or Prayer Leader. Each ministry is in need of new participants at 8 & 10:15am Sunday worship services. Let us know your preference. Questions? Call the parish office at 847-381-0596.

Our new flags have arrived. If you would like to contribute to the cost, contact the parish office or place a check in the collection plate marked “flags”. Our appreciation and thanks to Bob Horn for handling this project.

Looking Ahead

- Care ‘N Share will meet Saturday, May 31 at Cathy & Jim Schaffer’s home at 6:30 pm. Please call Cathy at 847-847-7883 with your choice of a dish to pass.

- Join us for the continuation of the tabernacle discussion on June 1st in the Anniversary room at 9:05. Vicki Garvey will have a short teaching on the history, symbolism and modern day uses of tabernacles.

- Next Sunday Ned Loughridge, our Senior Warden, will give a short presentation during both services about the "state of the parish" at the mid point of our fiscal year.

-The annual St. Mark’s picnic will be held next Sunday, June 1 after the 10:15 am service. We’ll have burgers, brats, & dogs with all the trimmings plus activities for the children. Please join us to celebrate the end of another year with a public thank you to those who served as teachers and facilitators this past year.
